I graduated from Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville in 1967 and just want you to know it was fun back in the day. I am currently president of the Fred Douglass Alumni Association living in DeSoto, Texas.

Okay everybody!  Now's the time to get involved!  We have the chance to have a great 40th NHS Class Reunion - but it won't be as good as it can be without your help!  Each one of us needs to get involved and take an active roll!  Encourage your friends - especially those who haven't attended our earlier reunions.  We're all getting up in years, and it's important for us to get to know each other again!  I look forward to seeing each of you!

Hello to all my classmates in Nacogdoches and beyond. My wife, Linda, (whom I met at SFA) now live in Richardson (bordering suburb of NE Dallas). Our son, Vincent, lives in Rockwall (NE of Dallas) with his wiife and daughters. Our daughter, Jessica, still lives in Nac with her husband, Donny Mayes (from Alto) and children at the end of CR 212 off of CR 215 (what we then knew as Campbell Lane between Appleby Sand Rd. and Logansport Rd (FM 1878) in the house she grew up in. Jessica is the Texas Fit Chicks instructor and Donny works in the NFD keeping all the equipment running. Linda was in Nac this past weekend visiting the kids and came back with several pounds of Nacogdoches County blueberries picked right off the bushes. What a treat! If you are in the area and care to join me for a cup of coffee, either at my house or yours or a Starbucks, feel free to email me. Ya'll take care! Frank Gay

I just by accident found myself on your class web page. Many years ago I was once a member of this same class before my Father\'s transfer with Nibco to Arkansas in 1964. It was such a treat to see so many faces and names of  ones I remember as far back as my memory can travel in my little girl time.  But, my heart also weeps as I viewed your memory page and saw faces of so many I knew as wee little ones that are now gone like all the members of my family. Nacogdoches has always been such a special place for me to return to everytime I would visit my Mother. Thank you for the opportunity to walk memory lane in a place and with many I will always hold close to my heart.

Hello Class of 68!
I want to invite you to the Class of 74 reunion this summer.  It is June 26 and 27.
Dickey Johnson's band Odessa is going to play for us and our classmate -- Nashville songwriter Jim Collins -- who was in Odessa will be singing with them and also doing a set of his hits.
We are planning a big ol' party at Banita Creek Hall and we'd love to have some of you join us.
It's turning into a Class of 69 to 79 reunion!
Here is our class website www.nacogdoches1974.com
Send me an email if you'd like to come to the reunion and hear Dickey play!

Hello Everyone!
I found an old photo this week of the Nettie Marshall Spring Festival Court when you guys were in 6th grade.  I kept looking at the King , thinking he sure looked familiar, and then it dawned on me that is was Ronnie Raines.  I emailed it to him and asked who his Queen was, but he doesn't remember.  The picture is posted in the From the Past Photo Album.  Please look at it and tell me who the Queen was if anyone remembers!
Thanks and see you all next week, with camera in hand!

Well hello class of 1968!  Can it really be that you guys(and I mean that either gender, ha!) were just
a year behind us.  You seemed so much younger way back then.  Our 1967 Reunion was the best ever as some of you know, but it sounds like you all are going to have a humdinger too.  If anyone would like to drop me a line,  my e-mail is
jerryp326@aol.com  I am going to try to come and enjoy the festivities with you and visit with old friends, but please let me hear from you.

Hello, Everyone,
The site looks great.  I will upload the pix I took at your 35th reunion.
I will also be glad to take pix at the 40th and post them on tylerpaper.com.  I do freelance photography for them and love to feature NHS Reunions.
Please keep me in the loop about your events so I can keep my calendar updated.

Our committee meeting held at the Hotel Fredonia in October was great.  I want to thank all who were present including Joe Precella and wife, David Yates, Sandra Brock, Kathy Baker McGough, Marion Foshee, and Glenn Cooper. We all had fun at the 1967 Reunion, and expecting ours to be equally successful. This also gives me a chance to thank, again, all those who helped in the last four reunions, namely Betty Crowley Twomey and Johnni Sue and Lynn Laird. Archie Haney was also a big big help. Without their undying energy, our reunions wouldn't have gone so smoothly.  My hat is off to you all. I hope to see all at our 40th reunion this year.

Glenn - You are awesome!  Thanks for putting the 40th NHS Reunion Committee together--we need to contact as many folks as possible in the coming months.  Connie Nutt Weaver and I will work on contacting Houston area folks.  I believe John Wallace and Marion Foshee will work on the DFW area.  Sandra Brock is in the Austin area.  We could use some more contact people  for other parts of Texas.  I believe Ron Raines is still in the New York area. Don't know of anyone who is out on the west coast.  May have some folks out of the country.   Linda Mills and you are in the East Texas area.  We're still asking for volunteers to contact people in their area - so, don't be shy and step on up.     joy

Glenn,

Thanks for the mail regarding the 40th Reunion. The site looks great in it's early version. I have added to my favorites list in order to keep up with the planning and arrangements. Really looking forward to 2008 and seeing everyone again.

Glenn, this is a great start. Keep up the good work and it will all start falling into place. Remember we only had 4 months of planning because we didn't start until June. With a year, your reunion should be a great success. Good Luck! Peggy Arriola Jassa, '67
